History

CALASETTA
The town dated back to 1769 when some families of ligurian origin (Pegli) left the Tunisian island of Tabarka and decided to settle in "Cala di Seta" From these origins comes the traditional ligurian way of speaking which is even today a characteristic of Calasetta. The streets are built in classical Piemontese style, with the characteristic perpendicular streets.
SANT'ANTIOCO:
Rich on archaeological remains of Phoenicians, Punic and Roman origin. The catacombs bear witness to the spread of Christianity in Sardinia.

CARLOFORTE:
Founded at the beginning of the 1700's by some fishermen from the Tunisian island of Tabarka The inhabitants of Carloforte today speak the ligurian dialect and also the streets keep the the typical ligurian "carrugi" (narrow and twisted streets)

CARBONIA:
